Tour Start and Finish: Hanoi / Hoi An Nearest Airport: Noi Bai International Airport / Danang International Airport The tours start in Hanoi and we make our way to the hill-tribe village of Pu Luong, climbing through the steep hills and great views of the nature reserve. We meet up with the trail and drive south overnighting in Vinh where we see the Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum and the Dong Loc Intersection, one of the heaviest bombed places during the war. We stop in at Phong Nha National Park, where explorers recently found the world’s largest cave, visit Khe Sanh and the former DMZ, and spend time in the former imperial capital at Hue and the historic trading port of Hoi An. Our route also takes advantage of the good hotels dotted along Vietnam’s long coastline and includes a ride over the glorious Hai Van pass.
